Playgrounds

Run, climb and play to your heart’s content! Our playgrounds offer climbing frames, swings and slides for endless fun. Discover your favorite playground in Tirolo:

• at the Örtlerhof – with playhouse, nest swing & swing, football goal and table football
• in Burglehen Park on the main road (next to the mini golf course) – especially suitable for parents who want to relax
• forest playground near Tiroler Kreuz
• between Seminarstraße and Lingweg – ideal during summer thanks to plenty of shade
• outside school hours: at the school building on the main road (above the town hall)

Outdoor Adventure Playground – Taser High Ropes Course

A play paradise covering more than 1,000 m² with a mountain zoo, Indian village, slides, zip line, sandboxes, observation tower, high ropes course and much more.

Mini Golf, Tennis and Beach Volleyball

Mini golf – great fun in Tirolo for children and adults alike.
Tennis & beach volleyball – Tirolo offers clay tennis courts and beach volleyball courts with floodlights. Court reservation is required.

Visit the Bird Doctor of Tirolo!

The bird of prey flight show at the Bird Fauna Recovery Center is located on the castle hill of Tyrol Castle in Tirolo.

At the bird sanctuary, injured and helpless birds are cared for and later released back into the wild. The beautifully designed educational trail introduces visitors to the fascinating world of birds of prey. During the flight demonstrations, held daily at 11:15 a.m. and 3:15 p.m., you can experience these kings of the skies up close.

Tyrol Castle

At Tyrol Castle you can travel back in time. Each room focuses on a specific theme, ranging from early history and medieval daily life to memories of the 20th century.

Brunnenburg Castle

Brunnenburg Castle is home to an agricultural museum. In addition to visiting the castle, guests can discover several traditional domestic animal breeds, including Mangalitza pigs, Zackel sheep, Villnösser spectacled sheep, peacock goats, Tyrolean “blobe Goas,” rare chickens, ducks and geese.

Hiking on Foot

Let’s head to the mountains! Discover hiking trails with breathtaking views where you can overlook the countryside like a king from his castle.

To keep hikes family-friendly, here are some routes especially suitable for children:

• Falkner Promenade to Tyrol Castle (short incline before the castle)

Hiking Pass

Complete our recommended hikes and mountain tours and collect points for each route. The points are confirmed with stamps from mountain huts located along the trail.

Start collecting points and earn the Tirolo Hiking Badge in gold, silver or bronze. A beautiful diploma is also available upon request. Available at the tourism office reception.

Alpine Coaster

Italy’s longest alpine coaster, the Alpin Bob, is located in the hiking and ski area Merano 2000.

Rabland Railway World

Italy’s largest digital model railway exhibition can be visited in Rabland. Around 20,000 model trains are displayed, making it one of the largest private collections in Europe.

The Labyrinth Garden

The labyrinth garden can be found at the Kränzel Winery in Cermes. Across approximately 1.7 hectares, visitors can enjoy the natural beauty and magical atmosphere of this enchanting garden.
